Proprietors Karen & Pete Rodger moved to South Cumbria nearly ten years ago from East Anglia.

"We spent most of our early days here fell walking, so we are well versed to direct the first time visitor around the county".

Karen now spends most of her time in the kitchen preparing freshly made meals, while Pete has been known to drag his guitar out on a Monday night for anyone daft enough to listen.

"We bought the Billy because we wanted a pub that we would like to call our local".
